We had the pleasure of collaborating with the team at Van Haven to create a truly exceptional campervan for their client, Neil. The project started with a VW T6.1 LWB 4Motion van that had already been styled on the exterior with Van Haven's renowned Swamper aesthetic, perfect for Neil's passion for off-road adventures.

Recognizing Neil's desire for maximum off-road capability, our teams worked closely to outfit the vehicle with a host of rugged features. On the interior, Neil envisioned a high-end yacht-like ambiance, which we achieved through our exclusive U-lounge layout with a few unique twists. The resulting off-grid and off-road capabilities of this campervan are second to none.

The transformation included a stealth roof for added standing height, an Anthracite Alcantara-trimmed cab with tan leather/Alcantara front sports seats, and a stunning rear living space featuring Birch ply cabinetry, bamboo work surfaces, William Morris tiles, and upholstery in Lindale Plain Tartan with Harris Tweed accents.

To support extended off-grid use, we integrated a comprehensive heating and hot water system, under-chassis water tanks, shower points, and a 3kW Victron inverter setup with solar power. The result was a campervan that seamlessly blended premium comfort and style with exceptional off-road performance.

This collaborative project between Retrofitted and Van Haven showcased our shared commitment to delivering bespoke, high-end campervans that exceed our clients' wildest dreams. By combining our specialised expertise, we transformed a capable base vehicle into a true adventure-ready masterpiece tailored to Neil's unique needs and desires.

The van left us and headed straight on Neil's first of many adventures to the beaches of Portugal.
